Purpose

This research aims to gain new insights into effective use of patent system and patent information as well as to study how Industry-Academia collaboration should function through utilization of the patent system for local enterprises

• Local enterprises with advanced technical capabilities in Miyagi prefecture.
• Faculty members in technology and law in Tohoku University, including CIES academia staff.
• Officials of Miyagi prefecture and METI Tohoku.
