World-Leading Open Innovation Platform of Fusion Technologies Bridged IT and Transportation System Areas
This project integrates the powers of “science, engineering and humanities sociology” that Tohoku University, Kyoto University, Yamagata University and advanced enterprises have, performs institutional reform of intellectual property etc. In response to social demands of energy and work force issues, we define the R&D themes of non-competitive area as follows: 1) Ultra-low power consumption technology for IoT edge computing; 2) low loss hybrid power integrated devices and low loss power electronics technology for high efficiency energy conversion; 3) intelligence green power electronics technology for future transportation system, and form the industry-academic collaborative platform to create the innovative core technologies and foster human resources. We pursue to contribute to the development of this platform and the creation of new industries leading the world by synergy between R&D in non-competitive area and the competitive industry-academic collaborations which Tohoku University has promoted.
