In order to make a society develop sustainably with limited energy, further energy saving technology is indispensable. Moreover, in order for making progress in the society under the aging society, it is urgent to secure work forces including intellectuals, which will be responsible for social activities. To solve these energy and work force issues, this research area forms a platform for IT and transportation system, we will aim to create fusion electronics technologies bridged IT and transportation system using (1) ultra low power consumption technology, (2) low loss power electronics technology, and (3) intelligent green power electronic technology as key technologies.

By using this platform as a centripetal force, we will concentrate the power of “industries and academics”, and that of “science & engineering and social science” to create core technologies sustainably. We will also contribute to strengthen our industrial competitiveness, create innovation, and transform into a sustainable social system that anyone can enjoy convenience (service) by bridging to full-scale research and development by industry.
