In this study, we are developing a “neuromorphic single-dopant device.” The single-dopant device is one of atomic scale solid-state devices that have been developed as a candidate of actual quantum devices. For our targeted single-dopant device, we have already succeeded in fabricating the device by placing individual donors in one- or two- dimensional array on a Si substrate by employing our deterministic doping method. On the other hand, we have also succeeded in designing neuromorphic single-electron circuits that are one of quantum devices, e.g., noise-energy-harnessing circuits. Here, we are trying to merge these studies, and to develop an actual neuromorphic single-dopant device.
